These waterproof wire splices are specifically designed for underground burial.  The orange splices are for 20, 18 and 16 gauge dog fence wire.  The black splices are heavy duty splices for 14 gauge wire. 

Helpful Hint:  Make a note of the locations of all splices for future reference.  Wire breaks, if they do occur tend to be at the splice.  It can save you a lot of time.
